Kiwi company ĀrepaNootropics has taken out the start-up category at the prestigious NutraIngredients-Asia Awards 2020.
NutraIngredients has been the leading news source for the global nutrition industry for more than 15 years. In its third year, the awards highlight true innovation, long-term market success and cutting-edge research.
Co-founder Angus Brown says winning the award is like a musician winning a Spotify award for their album. “We were proud to represent New Zealand on the world stage and humbled to be recognised for our commitment to science and goal to produce the world’s ‘smartest’ beverage.”
NutraIngredients-Asia Editor-in-Chief, Gary Scattergood, says a record number of entries were received this year. The independent judging panel said they were impressed with Ārepa, its solid science and clear growth plans.
“This award certifies us in the minds of the global food tech industry,” Angus says. It’s also an added boost of confidence for Ārepa as the team sets its sights on the US later this year. “It gives us more credibility to larger US-based investors who we will bring on to help us expand into that market.”
