Ārepa Co-founder and CEO, Angus Brown, joined TV3's The AM Show this morning to announce the results of its latest clinical trial, explain the origins of Ārepa and expand on the science behind NZ's first smart drink.
The latest clinical trial was run with High-Performance Sport New Zealand, and conducted by scientists from the University of Auckland. It looked at the effects of Ārepa on athletes experiencing fatigue and how cognitive performance can be boosted in pressure situations. Recently published in the Swiss-based science and technology journal Antioxidants the results showed statistically significant improvements in reaction speed, accuracy and mental stamina.
While the results are focused on athletes, the effects are relevant for all walks of life. As Angus says in the interview the intention behind Ārepa is to support people broadly with plant-based products rooted in science.
